In chapter 2 Jess gets frannie pregnant. When frannie tells jess he says " I won't run out in you" but he still doesn't sound too optimistic about the baby that is on its way. Jess's reaction causes Frannie to doubt jess. Will Frannie and Jess actually be able to get over this shock and raise a child on top of it?
